About me
Hi, I'm Rutger.
I'm an enthusiastic, up-and-coming bartender who loves working behind the bar. I gained experience in a hotel bar and completed a full cocktail training at the European Bartender School (EBS) in Barcelona.
I've since worked several events. With Beck on the Rocks I come to your party with a bespoke cocktail menu, fresh garnishes and above all plenty of hospitality. I'll have a chat, read the room and make sure nobody waits long for a drink.

You hire me as your bartender. You arrange the drinks and ice; I bring my own bar tools and take care of the cocktail menu. You always receive a tailored quote.
Bartender hourly rate
€45 per hour
For every hour I'm behind the bar.

Prefer freshly squeezed juices? I'll bring my fruit press. Because fresh pressing is extra work, the hourly rate becomes €54 (+20%) and the cocktail menu from €99.

I work anywhere in the Netherlands. Travel costs are charged per kilometre.

I'm saving up for my own mobile bar. Until then, I ask you to provide a workspace.

Booking & short notice

- If you cancel within 14 days, I charge 20% of the agreed amount

Do you bring drinks and ice?
No. You hire me as your bartender, so you arrange the drinks, ice and fresh ingredients. I do give you a tailored shopping list, so you know exactly what and how much to buy.
What do you bring?
All my professional bar tools (shakers, jiggers, strainers, bar spoons and more) and a cocktail menu I put together especially for your party. On request I also bring my fruit press for freshly squeezed juices.
What do you need on location?
A workspace: a sturdy table or bar, preferably close to water. I don't have my own mobile bar yet, so until I do, I ask you to arrange this.
What does it cost?
€45 per hour behind the bar, plus always 1 hour of preparation (€45) and from €75 for the cocktail menu and use of my equipment. A 4-hour party therefore costs from €300, plus travel costs. Work it out straight away on the prices page.
What is the fruit press option?
I bring my fruit press and squeeze the juices fresh. That's extra work, so the hourly rate becomes €54 (+20%) and the cocktail menu from €99.
Which cocktails can you make?
All the cocktails I learned at the European Bartender School in Barcelona, plus mocktails. You choose 1 to 5 for your menu, 3 by default. Having a signature cocktail created for your party is possible too.
What about glasses?
We arrange glasses together. You have two options:
- Arrange them yourself: use your own glasses or rent them from a rental company or the venue. That costs nothing extra with me.
- Via me: I arrange the glasses for you at a surcharge, from €0.50 per glass. Mention it in your request and I'll include it in the quote.
Which glasses work best depends on the cocktails on your menu. We'll decide that together.
How many glasses do I need?
As a rule of thumb, count on about 2 glasses per guest, so there are always clean glasses ready while others are being washed. For a menu with different types of glasses, I'm happy to help you work it out.
Where do you work and what does travel cost?
I work anywhere in the Netherlands. Travel costs are €0.25 per kilometre.
How far in advance should I book?
Book at least a month before your party. Within a month it's often still possible, but a short-notice surcharge of 25% on all costs applies.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No, a deposit isn't needed.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the party. If you cancel within 14 days, I charge 20% of the agreed amount.
Can you make alcohol-free cocktails?
Absolutely. I'm happy to put proper mocktails on the menu, so nobody is stuck with a glass of cola.
Do you speak English?
Yes. I'm happy to bartend at international parties and to reply to your request in English. Just mention it when you get in touch.
